How syncing works

How syncing works

Once the integration is connected and your units are mapped (see Setting up Apaleo), the sync runs on its own.

As a booking changes

  1. A reservation is made or changed in Apaleo. Apaleo notifies Centro, and Centro creates or updates the matching stay, keyed by its Apaleo reservation ID.

  2. The stay follows the booking's status. As a reservation moves through its lifecycle in Apaleo, the Centro stay keeps pace:

    Apaleo reservationCentro stay
    ConfirmedPre-check-in
    Checked in (in-house)Checked in
    Checked outChecked out
    Cancelled, no-show or deletedCancelled
    Any other statusBooked
  3. The guest and unit come across with it. The guest's details are attached to the stay, and the stay is placed in the Centro location and stay type mapped to its Apaleo unit and unit group.

The reservation's Apaleo details — reservation ID, property, unit group, unit and status — are shown on the stay record in Centro.

Keeping data in sync

  • Automatic. Centro listens for reservation events from Apaleo and applies them as they arrive, so day-to-day bookings stay current without any action.
  • Manual backfill. You can import older bookings at any time from the Apaleo settings page — choose a From date and Centro imports reservations with stay dates from that date through today, updating any it already has. This is useful when first setting things up, or after a gap. See Import existing reservations.
  • Refresh ARI. The Availability, Rate plans, Unit groups and Units tabs each refresh their read-only Apaleo data on demand.
